All binaries on this website were built on a cygwin environment.
Compiled with the modules : WebIf, Irdeto Guessing, Anti-Cascading, Debug Messages, Log History and Monitor.
The build process is fully automated and new revisions are checked every 30 minutes.
Place oscam.exe in the same folder of cygwin dlls and configuration files.

I would like to report a bug in Oscam. Recent Oscam Version Especially After oscam-cygwin-svn-5898 fails to initialize newcamd readers or proxies like they are called in the web interface. I hope that you guys fix this in your next update. Please Use The Version oscam-cygwin-svn-5898 and use a newcamd reader protocol and use the last version to see the big difference in the connection… I hope that you identify the error and have it fixed in the coming version. As for now I am very satisfied with oscam-cygwin-svn-5898. In case you fixed the issue in your next version PLEASE LET ME KNOW….

Is the optimalisation for 32 bit better then for 64x ?

Oscam always runs in 32 bit. But it should run well on any windows 64 bit thanks to the 32 bit subsystem that microsoft has implemented on all 64 bit version of windows.
I do not use oscam on windows and cannot give you much help on this matter. But you can always check the oscam support foruns for more help.

You must write the device as
/dev/ttySx > that x mean “the reader port number minus 1″
You can check port of reader in device manager of windows.
Yes, under cygwin you have to use the Unix like names for the serial ports.
/dev/ttyS0 == COM1
/dev/ttyS1 == COM2
/dev/ttyS2 == COM3
and so on….

In my experience OSCAM 1.00 svn build #5237 seems to be the most stable for heavy duty. Try using it.

Hi, DVBApi is not available on the windows platform so it´s not possible to compile oscam for windows with the dvbapi module.
Version 5954 here actually reports itself as version 5953….

It has already been asked but what stable release should I be running as I just use the latest all the time but its marked unstable?? Sorry newbie to oscam but keep up the gr8 work much appreciated.

I can’t find anywhere how to enable dvbapi on oscam to work as plugin with dvbviewer.
Or any possible way to enable oscam.exe functionality on dvbviewer.

Now I saw that someone answered that that’s not possible.
Is dvbapi possible on ubuntu or other versions of linux and with what DVB-S/S2 viewer application?
There is no DVBApi for windows.
If you want to use programs like ProgDVB or DVBViewer you can use plugins that use the CCcam protocol or Newcamd. Search for “Hadu Cccam” or “WinCSC”.
You connect to Oscam like any other box.
All oscam above 5888 windows version does after like 5 hours of use do timeouts randomly so via and c+ nordic freezes

i run oscam on a 64 bit system windows 7 it works good for a day and then freeze i have to shut oscam down and then restart its been doing this every day any help thanks in advance

I have no smartcard reader for the moment…can I use this OScam_PC to connect to an external server and then connect other clients to this OScam server
( I have tried that, unsuccessfully…looks like Oscam_PC to external server is OK but clients to OScam_PC, connexion refused…)

Had the same issue with newer versions. #6191 seems to work for now.
I have been digging in the code and found a temporary fix for current svn build.
Version 6241 should be working ok now. Please test.
I will automatically apply the patch on the build process until the Oscam development team fixes the code. They are already aware of the situation.
Version 4243 up have at all local cards 3000ms ecm time.
Version 4243 is very old. Try with a recent version and check if you have the same problem.
If the problem persists, check the configuration and try the oscam.to forum for more help.

I have problems with crashing oscam and suspect the recent install of “normal” Cygwin package conflicting with the cygwin DLLs in oscam folder.
Could that be the case because they are not the of the same version….
I have Cygwin\bin in %PATH%, should I remove the DLLs from oscam and use the “central” install or vice versa?

Hey, sorry about that. The 2mb versions are debug versions, which means they can be debugged with gdb or some other debugging tool. I forgot to disable that when I was testing and trying to fix the crashes.
I have disabled it now, the next build should be of normal size again.
Although, using a debug version should be fine, it works like the other versions.

Revert to earlier version oscam-cygwin-svn-6236 works good (400ms)

A Folder “D:\OScam\stat” exist. What is the problem?
stat should not be a folder, it should be a file.
Delete the “stat” directory and oscam will create the file.

Hello. Version 6478 run on windows 2003 “03 days 15:42:22″ perfect. No problems!
from version 6481 – 6504 only crashes on xp. it running till one hour. what was changed? what can i do, that worked it ?
edit: i found my problem… in reader/server (cccam-protokoll) the option “fallback” on enable.
From 6481-6514 oscam gives timeout after 10 minutes on local readers

Important!
In ordert to run oscam stable there are two basic things YOU MUST DO.
1. Do yourself a favour and Use a PCI or PCI-E to USB card. DO NOT use the USB ports on your motherboard. They are really poor quality and often faulty. This is very important. Most people are not aware of the bad quality of motherboard USB ports.
2. Run oscam as a sevice by installing the oscam service wrapper: http://blog.rhysgoodwin.com/windows-desktop/service-wrapper-for-oscam/ Oscam is far to unstable to be run as a program, IT MUST be run as a windows service.

From the beginning oscam worked just a few minutes or seconds before it crashed.
After using the oscam wrapper the channels themselves were stable but at channel changes the client (WinCSC) stopped receiving keys. Oscam was still running but seemed to have lost contact with the reader (Phoenix).
After installing the PCI to USB card oscam has been perfectly (100%) stable for over one month now! Amazing!
So I don`t want to solely blame oscam. Part of the problem can be bad quality cardreaders. Phoenix are pretty “shitty” quality, at least if you ask the the programmers that made NewCS.

Build 5898 is months old. There was about 650 new builds after that. Have you tested any recent version. That issue is probably solved already.
We @tekreaders are not the developers of Oscam. We just compile and distribute the windows binaries. Development is at http://streamboard.gmc.to:8001/timeline
If you have feature requests or bug reports about the functionality of Oscam, then you should contact the development team.

every version after 6445 doesnt work good with proxies
. On Linux and windows. But 6445 i recomend if you have ubuntu 11.10 :=). Been runnig for 2 weeks no problem. But dont update because proxies will keep disconnecting and nds cards will send trash so screen bedcomes black after a few hours

at to many ecm ask have closed xp my ports e.g 12000 for cccam and my users were offline. it’s came crash sometimes or i have to must restart oscam. this registry entry helped me.
